Writing and Strategy Exercise - Communicating About Getting to Zero IL (GTZ-IL) initiative

I was tasked with creating a list of questions for the client, craft a news release, and list 5 news outlets and reporters you would pitch with my rationale.

Media Pitch

I was tasked with creating a media pitch for a fake product, Golden Squoosh, which is a gluten free twinkie-like product. I found media outlets that aligned with the product and created a media pitch to the chosen outlet.

I decided to focus on new mothers in the 25-54 age range. This demographic is looking for healthy snacks for their children and most likely to take part in school activities that require finding inclusive treats. This age group will also feel a bigger connection to twinkies as they were a popular treat during their childhood.

Based on this information I chose three media outlets to focus on.

Bose Headphones Final Project

I completed a situational analysis, media outlet list, media pitch, press release, and a blog post for a new Bose product. The product consisted of PLA Polyester made earbuds and was created to further pursue Bose’s value of sustainability and replace their traditional plastics with biodegradable plastics. I chose to have Bose collaborate with three non-profits to help clean plastic around the country and to spread awareness about the environmental issue.
